• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Today was the day to take the Statue of Liberty and traveling down 6th Ave., New York city and waving at FOXNews off my bucket list. so many many angels made it happen.. first Cooky and Ernie with their incredible hospitality.. getting me through the roundabouts giving me fresh maps of how to get to Staten Island.. thank you so much they worked perfectly. Sundays are supposed to be the easiest days to get around New York Ciphoenix Staten Island except this Sunday is the annual New York City bikeathon.. one policeman said there is between 15 and 20,000 bikers they close down freeways roads everything.. you said you could not have picked a worse Sunday but I will help you get around.. follow his directions down to the ferry terminal could not get down there so had to do another GPS get my personal service going.. finally said one police officer how can I get to that ferry trrminal and he said tell you what you flip the U-turn right there I cannot see what you're doing he said park your trike I'll watch it you don't have to worry about anything because I'm going to be right here for the next four hours.. So got to see Statue of Liberty took lots of pictures.. unfortunately cannot figure out how to post them on this forum.. when I got back I thank the nice policeman and said help get me down sixth Avenue in Manhattan New York city he laughed and said only idiots go down there and that he personally had never done it. He said I can tell you what bridge to cross but after that you're on your own.. My personal asking GPS and never failed me.. Several times went round and round up and down round and round until I found the right street.. have decided New York taxi drivers are crazy and the people trying to hail the taxi are even crazier they just jump out the middle of Street at trying to get taxies .. I eventually found sixth avenue drove down it saw FOXNews waved at them to get them and at the end of sixth Avenue start looking for people to get me out of town and headed toward New England states.. discovered at those swanky hotels that if you pull up the doorman come right to you.. so I would ask them how do I get to 95 I want to go to Connecticut.. I learned how to do U-turns really well.. turn one and cut a cop off all he did was wave at me well I think he was waving!!! Some more of the go round asked many questions eventually asked young man on a motorcycle and he said you follow me I'll get you there. Went for about 2 miles and he pulls over to the right I pull up beside him he says oh crap I missed the turnoff.. Then he says see the turnoffs right there tell you what I'll block two lanes of traffic you flip a U-turn and you go on your merry way.. he did and I did and I am in Connecticut in a motel sending you this message!! Whoop whoop two things off of my bucket list!!!

Nobody but Murphybrown could pull that off. You go girl, show us how it's done.:thumbup:

You are awesome! Sounds like what Jennifer and I had to do in DC. Went in great, had the rectangle set in mind for all the important buildings, got off the main street to get a better picture of the Monument, and the fun began. So I played the dumb tourist on a "weird" contraption, and asked others how to get somewhere (99% were tourists and were as lost as us), but still saw the things we wanted to see, especially the Vietnam Wall and Arlington Cemetery. Finally found our way out and we were gone.

HEY GIRL, YOUR ADVENTURE INVOLVES A LOT MORE U TURNS THAN MINE!!! Congratulations on a jobwell done. I'm in Charleston, SC tonight. Sight see tomorrow then off to Savanna. Keep your powder dry (panties too) and ride safely. Yer pal,

Murph - I may have been the one who suggested riding into NYC on a Sunday morning. I sure wasn't thinking it could be the Sunday of the 5 Borough Bicycle Tour. Sorry. I should have put a warning out there. Between bicyclists, runners and "Occupy" protesters maybe it's not possible to avoid one event or another!

I am not sure if you are really brave or just plain lost your mind. But in any case I think the good lord must be riding with you and I hope he continues to do so. Be safe.

Awwww after a great night of rest...saying wow after reading such nice comments (big thanks all!!!)...I was looking at all the highlites...first and foremost...the people...only had one that I decided needed extra prayers...he was a toll booth employee...my my, decided he must have put his tighty whites on backward..no smile muscle working in his gorgeous face..yep extra dose of  for that dude..speaking of toll roads...holy crap that was my first (and seemed like unending) experience...had no idea...trust me when I leave today I am finding a bank getting a roll of quarters and stacck of $1's...
I personally cannot fathom living in all that chaos..wait maybe I was creating some of that chaos..but loved loved being able to experience what I have only (until now) seen on TV or read about...
driving on I-95....trust me it was the quickest way .. this morning the maps are ready and I am looking to get off that mass highway..that amazingly was moving at a snail's pace for the first 15 miles out of NYC and this was a Sunday afternoon...can only imagine workweek quitting time traffic...I would be :banghead: ...yep give me space..
See sunshine out there...hear the cars rushing by on 95...maps where are you...today needs to be a relaxed, leisure day of ryding enjoying and taking pleasure in all I meet and see
Everyone have a great day..life is GREAT

:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: heck there are moments I say the same thing about me...but because He does ryde with me I work really hard at not letting fear invade my thoughts...there were many conversations yesterday with Him..things like wow God good job...or time for finding another GPS (get personal service person)...yep He provided many angels yesteerday and all the other moments in life...living fear free is so "freeing"...the enemy is the fear monger!!! :lecturef_smilie: don't give the bad dude that power..learn to live as if you can't fail!!! (when the less than happens dowhatever it takes to pick self up, dust off and keep on keepin' on)...
