• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I bought my spyder rt a few weeks ago and still cant ride it. the dealer has not sent me the title and I want to take this back. I am upset . I got a great deal but I feel cheated ....I signed all the paper work and got the insurance but no title so I can register it or pay the taxes due here in nj. Did I say I am upset...

Sorry to hear about that situation. Here in Ohio you can go to the BMV with the paperwork from the dealer and get a temporary tag for plates until you get the title from the dealer. I know for a car this process can take from 30-45 days. I would think the process is similar for motorcycles. Maybe it's different in the enchanted land of New Jersey. Good luck. Chris

We had a dealer (no longer in business) who collected the sales tax and but not send it to the state so no title. Act today or you could be in trouble......as you know, this is not good.

Why didn't the dealer give you the temporary tag?

 It sounds as if you need to have a very serious, face to face discussion with your dealer; good luck!

Bummer...

Must be a NJ thing. Here you can't leave without a temp so the dealers get that set up right away. Here it is just a paper you attach to the vehicle, when I was in TX all dealers had paper tags and they dated them. Hope they come thru cause this will hurt them as much as it does you...

Sure every state is different...

But when I bought my first Spyder from Illinois. I received all the paperwork and took into my local office and they collected the necessary sales tax and fees. Gave me my license plate and a temporary registration to show if I was stopped.
Purchassed 2nd RTS in MO...but was not going to be back in WA state for a month. Again kept all my paperwork showing purchase, etc. ahndy in case I was stopped. MO does not give temp plates so dealer switched my WA plates from old ryde to new one....when I got to home...again took all paperwork in to DMV...paid WA sales tax, etc. Takes about 6-8 weeks in WA for title to come.
As another suggested I would contact dealer as well as your local DMV and get answers... Dang I'd be ryding ...just carry all your purchase agreement papers with!!! Keep us posted.

No title

I new a car dealer that did that. Had a loan against the title(MSO) and sold the vehicle and kept the money. The loan company came after the car and the dealer ended up behind bars. The customer was out money and car. Hope yours is not that case.

My dealer always processes the paperwork all the way through the license plate. I get a temp tag to drive off with and go back to the dealer in a day or two to pick up the real plate. Over and above, but I think the way it should be.

There is something funny going on with your dealer. A face to face should be the starting point. Don't take any excuses, or no for an answer.

resolved

After calling them several times and speaking with there people that handle the paper work. they admitted they dropped the ball. Tittle is in hand and will be heading to DMV in the AM . now lets the riding and the mods begin...Did I say I am happy...

Thanks for posting that you got the problem solved quickly. We hear complaints or issues such as the above--and then nothing--a lot of times.

:yes::yes:...Glad it was resolved ....................I am curious, How did you get it home from the dealership ?????...............Mike :bbq:

The dealer should have given you a temp tag. I live in NJ got my 2015 RTL last November after filling out the paperwork I drove out with a temp tag and temp registration. Since I already had a tag from my 2013 RTL my dealer said I had to keep the temp tag on until my regular registration came through. About a week or two later the dealer called me to pick up the registration. That was it
