• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had my Speedometer head replaced - is there any way of correcting the odometer?

I had my complete instrument cluster replaced on my 2015 F3S at the dealership service dept, in the process they didn't have the correct mileage put on the new odometer, they said it can't be done. I even asked BRP, but they referred me back to the dealer. So my question is, is there any way or anyone who can correct the mileage, I don't want to get accused of rolling the odometer back.

When I had BUDS connected to my Ryker, I noticed that you could increase the odometer reading but not decrease it.

This issue has arisen before, back as far as when I purchased my Spyder in 2014. At that time, there was no way to set the current vehicle mileage on a new instrument cluster, the obvious reason being to prevent unscrupulous individuals from reselling high mileage roadsters with doctored, i.e., lowered mileage. In the sale of such a vehicle, many State DMVs require the original mileage be noted on the title if the original speedometer/odometer is replaced. Based on what Dick says can be done with BUDS on his Ryker, if someone replaced the instrument cluster, one could, using BUDS, set any number greater than zero on the new cluster and sell that Ryker with less than the actual mileage showing on the new odometer. I know nothing about using BUDS.

This is from an old Ryker BUDS2 file. I didn't actually try to increase the odometer reading, for obvious reasons, but I assumed that it could be done (maybe not?).

BUDS on my 2014 RSS has no such option offered.
