There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Had an accident today....

Question....did you have gap insurance? My dealer would not let me leave without it (he wasn't gonna budge), and I'm wondering if it mattered in the totaling out of your spyder.

Gap only covers if you owe more than what it is worth if it is totaled .. The gap will pay the difference from what the insurance company pays and the remainder owed to the bank. Just to get you back to zero owed . A no brainier if you are gonna make payments spread out over years .

Obviously you don't need gap if you put a big chunk of money down or get a short term loan which you would not end up being flipped in the bikes worth.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I didn't need to get it. But he was persistent, wouldn't let it go. Makes me wonder if there is a kickback to him for selling it.

No need-- bike was paid in full from day one....

Not to get off track, but yes they got a kick back on it. When I got my spyder I was told I did not need it because of the large down.

Dan it was good to spend time with you at Cowtown, I though your adjuster had died in his SUV, I didn't think he was ever coming out. Your settlement sounds great. Len and Cowtown did a great job taking care of my issue, like they usually do. Be safe and have fun.:congrats:

firefly accident

I have never been fortunate enough to meet you. We stayed in the same motel in Hayes.
I am pleased you didn't get hurt.Congratulations on your new bike. Len knows how to help a fellow Spyder lover.

I was the trailer trash parked near you.

Man, I was sorry to hear about your accident. As so many have said, really glad you weren't injured. Also glad to see things worked out with your insurance and the purchase of a new Spyder. Anxious to hear what your decision. was. Your probably already home by now but if you come through Indy let me know. Lunch or whatever is on me.

Dan, we just landed and caught up enough to read your story. So sorry to hear about the demise of your PE. So glad to hear you escaped without harm. Sounds like a nasty incident! We know what you mean about the heat. It was officially 114 when we rode into Hays. The only reason we made it was because we stopped in a nice, air-conditioned rest area/welcome center near the state line and I stayed inside and caught a catnap in the A/C for an hour or so. That heat can kick a Yankee boy's butt! When you get a chance, ride on over so that we can check out the new ride.

so wait you didnt get the info from the semi driver that hit the pilons and put them in your path?

that sucks!!! his insurance should have covered it.

so I assume your RS trailer survived ok... so what color RT? which model?

see it next year at spyderfest ... :)

At that point, you're so busy trying to survive the impact that it's easy to see how the trucker just could have pulled his cap a bit lower and simply drove away... :gaah:

Wasn't pulling trailer.

Things happened so fast I could barely tell what was going on.. let alone get a plate number.

Wow, I just read about your accident !! Thank the lord you came out relatively unharmed.

Thanks-- the Elka's held up well... left one was raised high enough to bend the top shock mount... but the bike kept running pretty darn good!

Had Len put new Elka's on before the bike left the showroom floor...
