• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Guess I can tell you what I'm doing here in WI

So is there any way for a mere mortal to get hooked up in this program?? Whose lawn needs to be mowed for us to get in on the fun? :D

Funny... A few of us owners that have had issues wondered if they had invited you to do this. What a wonderful thing for BRP to do. I hope they offer it to a few ryders every year. This is very good publicity for them... :spyder2::thumbup:

Congratulations Lamont! What an honor paid to you & a blessing to all of us on SpyderLovers.com.

Will they let you take BUDS home when you head home???

How cool! It sounds like you are going from your Masters degree in Spyder learned in the school of trial-and-error to your Doctorate. Way to go! (But please don't make us call you Dr. Lamont now;))

Will your office be right next to Carlo's? :roflblack:

By the way, is this the same school all dealer spyder tech's attend? I ask b/c of the complaints about the dealer tech's on spyderlovers; there seems to have been more than just a few complaints.

:congrats:.......great opportunity for you and in turn all of us when you share the knowledge when we have issues:2thumbs:.

Just got in from a long day at school and then I went over to Kurt's and we changed out my clutch and installed a 2011 cluster. I got to use my BUDS for the first time and that was cool seeing you have to set your high and low values on the rear suspension.

They posted my second day blog on BRP before I could tell them to make a change in one of my numbers. I posted that there is a new toe in spec for the Spyder that was 3/16" toe in in 6', the correct number is 3/32" not 3/16", sorry about that. :opps:

This is an advanced class that all the techs really should take if they want be a master tech. These guys really have to know alot to pass this class. I really suxed today as it was all reading the RT schematics for 2010 and 2011 and a lot of trouble shooting with and without BUDS. It was a really hard day today. :helpsmilie:

"Inquiring minds need to know"!!! On a serious note though, Lamont this only confirms the first impression I had of you when we first met in Daytona and talked a bit about your bacground. I saw a man that was a "go getter" and was very passionate about "the spyder".

This only confirms my observations and I commend you for it. Enjoy and learn a lot.

Chris

Thank You

And to think, :firstplace: I used to admire your knowlege & passion for the SpYder before & now this just takes that admiration to the next level:bowdown: You truly are a gifted person & I for one thank you for sharing your gifts with all of the SpyderLovers Community:2thumbs:
