• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Group Ride to Lamont's BBQ from Maggie Valley

Just saying

I don't enjoy big group rides, I would rather have a team of 5 to 8. I can deal better without the crowds, I'll either want to leave 1/2 to 3/4 hour early or after main group. You can translate that to I'm a bad rider and don't want everyone to see:opps:

Yep. It takes Rt 276 so should go by the entrance. No problem.

I nominate you as ride leader! Put your yellow RT up front and I'll bring up the rear with mine :roflblack: I couldn't remember if it was 50 or more miles. Will your route take us past the RV park?

209 looks like fun

Sounds like a plan. 209 is a fun road with some tight twisties. I would be open to an earlier start time, say 9 or so.
I sure t
like the thought of an earlier start time 9 AM maybe so we can get to lamonts and have some time to relax . I will have about a 200 mile ride after the 2 PM meal to Reidsville Looks like that will be a large day for me. :yikes:

We are up for either route as long as the leader knows the way! An earlier departure time would probably be preferable no matter which route! Looking forward to a fun day!:2thumbs::bbq:

There will be a lot of people who will be going to Lamont's for the first time and I thought it would be nice for those of us who have been there before to help them find his place. In this case it isn't so much about the ride as it is the destination.

More details to follow. :bbq:

Ruth and I are in for the 209 route... and the "off" departure time ;)

Everyone has their idea of fun.

Personally, I hope the ride leader has no idea where to go and we get lost for hours on the beautiful winding roads.

And then have bbq :bbq:
