• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

grips

I also went with the Kuryakyn ISO grips and love them. They are a bit larger and longer but quite comfortable. I also had them on my Harley for years, never had any chrome peeling issues. Lamonts video install makes it quite easy instalation.

What about Heated Grips?

Does replacing the grips with any of the suggested types above disable the "Heated" functionality? I've got an RTL w/heated grips and had been told that they could be replaced with anything else without losing their ability to heat up.
Is that incorrect?

The Grip Puppies and/or clones work well with the heated grips.

Grips

I used a black foam they use for hot copper pipe if you get the right size that fits straight over your original grips does not need soap fits strait on and does not effect heaters and is like memory foam ,the only thing is its a bit bigger than the original grips.they last for about 2 years are very comfortable and only cost about $3.00 for a mtre that gives you about 5 sets.so for that they would have to be the cheapest grips around. Not for everyone because they do feel big.

hand grips

Anyone have any good recommendations for hand grips? I am getting tired of getting "grooves" on my hands from the stock grips. also, anyone know who does laser alignment near Knoxville, TN?
Thanks,
Seth
I put self adhesive tennis racket hand grips on mine. Works pretty good and you have colors to choose from
