• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am new to the board and do not own a Spyder. I have my GoldWing for sale and the Spyder needs to wait until I have the Wing sold, then save enough to pay for the Spyder.
Test rode one and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Only about an hour but hit as many different road types as possible.
I am trying to learn all I can before purchase. The 2015 looks pretty interesting, but waiting to see what they really look like up close an personal.

Just made the switch myself! We've been riding Goldwings for the last 25 years along with several other bikes but our primary touring ride was the Goldwings. I'm very happy with the Spyder Rt and I like it better everyday I ride it and my wife loves it. Even in it's stock form it fit me better than the Goldwing and with just a few mods it's going to be the most comfortable ride we've had.

:welcome: There is certainly lots of experience here. Just ask questions and you'll learn a lot. I hope you can get a Spyder soon!

...welcome to Spyder Lovers! I too am a recent convert (although I still have a couple of 2-wheelers (a Warrior and a Ducati ST2). I have been contemplating what to ride when I retire (next two years), as Judy has felt less and less secure on the back of a Motorcycle. When I stumbled onto "Charlotte", a '10 RS that had been highly modded by her 85 yr old original owner, I made the jump figuring that if it didn't click, I could sell it and head in another direction. After about 3-weeks and maybe 600 miles, I can say we both enjoy the ride. That being said, the learning curve was a little harder than I expected (but I had been prepared). In fairness to the Spyder, that learning curve was hindered by having far less air in the front tires. Once I discovered that, the bike handled better than I expected. Now, I'm very pleased with the way it handles, and can see it working for us in the long run. Probably the best advise I can give (and had received) is to "relax" and do everything gently. These things react to very small inputs in a big way. I'm hoping I can get a lot of saddle time in before my first "accident" avoidance challenge, as I don't want my "counter-steering" days to come into play. Good luck in selling your "Wing" and then finding your Spyder. Keep an open mind about finding a clean used one...

Well come on in

Greetings, and salutations.

Sir, you have entered the magic SpYder castle.
