We had a hitch in the get-a-long on our trip, trailer lights would just blip once when the brakes were applied and then stay off, when the blinkers were used they would blip at the normal flash rate, but not a true flash. I cleaned the connections without success and when I put a meter on the leads found that the voltage was only about 4 volts. Was also seeing some grease slinging on one of the trailer tires.
So I go on the Can-Am website and find three dealers within 100 miles. Called the closest one and he tells me he might be able to work me in next week. Called Elk Grove Powersports next and they had me bring it in that afternoon so they could start on it the next day (today). They verified that the trailer module on the wiring harness was bad and used one from a kit on their shelf instead of waiting for the part to come in from Wisconsin, checked out the trailer bearings, and got the Spyder all cleaned up for me. Total cost out of my pocket was $1 that I spent on a soda while waiting for my wife to pick me up in a rental car.
So if you are near Elk Grove California, Forrest and his folks are very helpful people.
