Great Deal on very nice Saddle Bags for F3!

Bought the SEDICI Distanza Slant Saddlebags and the Street and Steel black power coat universal saddlebag brackets kit at Cycle Gear today. Great results. The brackets, even the hardware supplied fit the F3 like it was an OEM kit. Here are some pics of the results:

The bags are on sale at Cycle Gear this month for 33% off and 50% off the bracket set. Total bill was $125 with a lifetime warranty bags and brackets. The bags seem very well made and will work well for packing for over night trips. I do not intend to keep these on the bike full time, only for travel. They are also larger than the BRP ones, come with the liner bags and rain covers. For less than 1/10th the price.

I had a pair of Nelson-Rigg saddle bags a lot like yours that I used on my Harley for 10 seasons. They held up extremely well over the years. The only thing I noticed was fading the last couple years, but functionally they were still in very good condition. You made a great purchase and should be real happy with them. They also look great on your F3.

I'm going to mount 20mm ammo cans on mine. 8in wide, 18in long, 14in deep. Water proof and the top comes off. Sort of looks like BMW bags and only cost about $35 each. Going to see how they work and look.

exactly....

With a handle like your we would expect nothing less...:roflblack::roflblack: check with lamont he is doing the same for the F3 he is fixing up...

Good to know..!!

Looks great and will work well for your travels. Will have to look into it, mostly how easy it is to install and remove the brakets... really great price...

The brackets each mount to the factory location on the two bolts for the passenger grab rail. Bolt out, bracket on, Bolt in. Its that simple. Reverse to remove. 5 minute task, tops. The longer bolt you need comes with the brackets.

The strap can go under the rear seat

On mine I noticed two issues: the sensor for the passenger, and the pin/lock for the seat.

For the sensor, I cut a plastic cap (from a spray can) to size that fit nicely over the sensor - unless you want the sensor to be engaged due to the increased weight in the saddlebags (not enough weight for me to want this). Note: you will need to remove the cap when traveling with a passenger.

For the pin/lock - part of the leather was covering the pin hole. A round cut-out resolved this problem with minimal strength concerns for the strap.

The hole process for a good fit will take about an hour.

Enjoy, we do need the additional storage. Mine is similar to yours, but I plan on keeping them on most of the time.

looks great man, but I need an option for two up riding!

Do to the many comments and it seemed like a better more OEM fit, I decided to work on the under seat mount.

No sweat. Just adjusted the length of the strap and they fit fine. I had no trouble with the lock pin or the passenger switch but I had already moved the oem took kit to the space forward and under the driver seat (I augmented the kit to the tools I actually need on the side of the road in two small roll ups, one on either side of the driver back rest mount.)

:gaah:....OMG....Just put a PILLOW on the seat man.....:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:......your welcome .......;).....Mike
common man!!! mike, you know carol, right? you think she'd settle for that!! I wouldn't even think of offering that up as a solution to her!:roflblack::roflblack: :roflblack: I might get slapped or something even worse!

Looks like they would do the job with minimal damage to the wallet. That's always a bonus.

Now, let's talk about that car in the background. If you could afford that car, the can-am bags shouldn't be a problem:bowdown:

Yea well I did not pay for that car what they are worth now....That is my 401k in the picture.
