Temp climbed to 23 this afternoon, slight overcast and light wind around 12MPH. Backed the spyder out of garage and let her "warm up" while i wiggled into my firstgear one piece thermal suit.
Once geared up the spyder showed ambient temp of 47 under the tupperware. Idled out of RV park and noted the clutch seems super tight with cold oil. Engine temp showed 4 bars as i headed out onto the roads.
Jumped right on the freeway and it took less than a mile for engine temp to drop to one bar, the ambient temp readout settled in at 27 degrees. Spyder still runs like a scalded cat in cold weather. Pulled off the hiway and took city streets on in to a local ethanol free station to top off the tank (purpose of this ryde) (as if we need a reason)
Got quite a few looks from cage drivers, you know the look at that crazy guy look.... The firstgear suit is awsome, the spyder is great, only thing i need to improve is some warmer gloves. fingertips got rather cold. All in all it was a great day for a ryde.
