I finished this application. For anyone else interested, thought I would report on my experience. I called the company to find out if I had ordered the right product, because there was some confusion (to me at least) on the website on color selection. I failed to notice small print on the picture saying the picture shown was "black fade", so I ordered silver, as it looked silver to me. There was no choice called "black fade" on the drop down menu, just black.
Anyway, a helpful woman changed the order for me to the black fade, and also let me order some extra pieces "ala cart" so I could adapt them for my fairing, rear fender and hard side cases.
It took me about 5 hours... but it was a gorgeous 70 degree sunny day and I was moving at a liesurely pace. It wasn't difficult doing the wet method with the Rapid Tac product and squeegee. I had difficulty with the first very large trunk piece, getting it to conform to a long curve, but on the second piece, I cut between the flames to ease the curves and it was much easier. A blow dryer on "high" is also useful if you get a wrinkle somewhere - will take it out.
I'm extremely pleased with the results.... check it out here

Everyone's amazed when I tell them I did it myself. So I would suggest to anyone, don't be afraid to tackle this project yourself.
