Danny;
YOU ARE THE MAN :firstplace:
While U were installing... with your first hand knowledge of the facts ... can the GPS be relocated to top of dash and if so witch wires need to be extended ?
Thanks for your good work.
I think someone dropped the ball on the GPS through the headsets deal. There is no reason for it not to work through the headset seeing they have 7 pins to use.
The funny thing is when I use my earbuds through the comlink I can hear my GPS just fine. I don't know if they can fix this but it has been brought up to BRP from me and Fred Rau when we were first testing them. :dontknow:
I have all that and it still doesn't play through the BRP headset.Kind of puzzling you guys and gals are having internal audio problems with your GPS. I purchased my Garmin 660 from another source due to a HUGE $$ savings vs BRP's version. I installed it and the CB.. All components audio works great through the speakers or headset, depending on the audio selection made on mode button cluster, (RECC). I purchased the extra audio harness, shown below, from BRP. I think that is the key. You must have the CB/AM/FM and the extra audio harness to get it to work with the internal audio system. My only complaint, and it's minor, when I have music at just the right volume level, the GPS directions are a bit too loud in headset only mode....I can live with that problem, I'm accustomed to Kim yelling at me saying "Turn Here"..... By the way to can turn down the volume on the GPS to whatever you like and that's how it will play. I have mine set at 80%

While talking with Dave01 today, I'd mentioned that I wasn't able to hear the routing instructions through my headset, and he said that he didn't think the GPS "played" through the intercom/cb headset, but he wasn't sure. Does anyone know? If true this is a BRP oversight. The GPS plays fine through the external speakers, why not the internal?
