I used the mounts that came with GPS.. But dont think it is ideal.. What do you guys connect to the BRP mount that eliminates using car mount. It is high and will catch wind. Just excited I got it and made it work for now ..put some ties as a safety catch...

I use a mount from GPSCity.com. Clamps the GPS very securely.

This is what I purchased.. the mount cradle for the nuvi ( 1450 LMT ).. fits 1400 series, but they appear to have most.

Visibility

I have wondered about the visibility? So can you see the screen okay. Its bright enough?

I'm wondering if the screen gets washed out depending on the angle of the sun. I have a nuvi 765T with a sunshade around it and also a glare reducer on the screen. I'd like to say that I have no problem with screen washout; but, I can't.

Just wondering what you might be doing to prevent washout, if you have any.

Depending on the angle of the sun you will get that sun glare on it, other than that, I see it fine. But to be honest, it is not like I stare at it, so it is tolerable. When I get the other mount delivered, will see how that works. But all in all, I am happy with it.

I had a Nuvi 750 mounted similar to what you have on my RS and And really could not see screen in daylight ..great at night, I put a Glare Stomper on it helped a little....

I have an engineering friend working on a mount for my TomTom. Will mount on center of handlebars similar to the one brp makes. Will post when I get the piece, he is even molding it in Red for me. Tis one reason I asked about the install of the frunk power port
