GPS mounted on windshield

I am looking to mount my GPS onto my windshield, but do not want it to be permanent. I have a suction cup mount that I use in my car - if I were to use it on my Spyder, I would be afraid that I would find out what a GPS looks like after hitting the pavement at 65 mph.

Looking to see if anyone has pictures of a homemade contraption that "clips" to the windshield without leaving a mark or having to be permanently mounted. Or if someone knows of a company that offers this kind of GPS mount.

The suction cup can be mounted on the dash covering your speedometer. The gps should have a speedometer on it so you don't need the spyders. I use to use it on the RT. with no problem

I'd be looking at a RAM mount, only the single ball need show with the GPS removed. If you want temporary, be sure to rig up some kind of lanyard so the GPS won't bounce off the pavement if the suction cup comes loose. JMHO

Suction cups work well but as Scotty said attatch a safety cord to avoid mishaps. I recommend re-installing often when temps change...otherwise try googling mounts for gps motorcycles I know I saw one that clips on to the windscreen...good luck...:thumbup:

Now this is one that I did not think of - great idea!! And I like the lanyard attachment to keep the gps from bouncing off of the pavement.

I will look for one that mounts to the windscreen (or windshield) - but I think that I will suction cup over the left speed sensor (analog one) and keep the center one clear. I like seeing what the temperature is outside.
