• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GPS Harness Pinout

If you don't care to spend ~$64.00 for the GPS harness, here is the pinout of the male end as it is positioned on the Spyder.

Do you have any idea, or can you find out the pinout of the 7 pin din connection for the headset ?

I'm thinking of I can find which pins are for the microphone, I might be able to make an adapter with parallel connections for the mic, then I can hook the adapter up to my Zumo 550. If I do that, I can get my cell phone in/out of the intercom system using the Zumo bluetooth.

Dumb question - how does that picture benefit a person? :dontknow: Not a techy so I had to ask.

To install a non-BPR GPS the female connector that is used with the pictured connector is required. It cost about $64.00. By knowing the pinouts the connections can be hard wired eliminating the need for the female connector and saving the $$$.

I don't have headsets so I'm afraid I can't help you out. I found the GPS harness pinouts by purchasing the harness (Ugh!).

GPS Mount

May not be a good spot to ask this but, do you have any part #s or such for the BRP mounting hardware for their GPS? I'm working on mounting my I-Phone there. It has GPS and about everything else I need.

Just saw this thread in the Rt touring forum , thread is Garmin Zumo 66o mount some one posted that he thought in 2011 accessory catalogue BRP was going to start selling mounts separately for GPS units and other handheld devices .
