Got to ride the 2011 RT

I got a chance to take out the 2011 RT before the demo folks showed up and give it a run.

One of the first things I noticed is the RT was a little quicker off the line than mine. Even without my trailer there is a slight lag in the throttle response, the red 2011 SE that I rode was pretty darn quick off the line.

I rode the RT with the shocks cranked all the way up and in the middle setting and the middle worked great even going through their cone course at speed the RT handled great. I think they pretty much nailed it on the front suspension.

The only thing I didn't like was the seat and that's because I have so many miles on my Corbin. I noticed right away that the seat felt way too soft for me and I felt like I was still sitting on top of it and not in it and I found myself rolling from side to side on it and that effected how much input I was putting into the bars. It was very windy when I took it out so that didn't help.

All and all I think the 2011 felt great and there are some noticeable improvements and I thin you guys will be happy with what they have done, I know I was.

I heard that the Limited are suppose to come off the line in two weeks.

Lamont, please take a short side trip on MY RT and bring it to Boerne, TX. You will enjoy the ride and I will buy breakfast...

I, too, noticed that when I rode the demo, that with hard turns, I tended to slide as you mentioned. I had a Utopia backrest shipped to my dealer to install when they get the scoot. If that does not help, I plan on a Corbin Lamont tractor seat...ha ha

You may not have seen my comment, but my dealer called and said she has received the invorce for my RT and it is on the truck "somewhere" on the way to South Texas....as mentioned, I am having the dealer install a CB, XM, GPS and led trunk lights. I am too old to screw with trying to install them myself and then having the dealer do it properly....

Thanks for your insight on the RT.....stop by our Texas Trike Reunion on your way home. We have 64 trikes of all makes signed up so far....

Glad to read others experiencing similar to our thoughts on the new suspension...

We think the 2010 RT setup should be under the RS's as well... Really makes a pleasant difference with more adjust ability to personal needs/wants.

A buddy has had one on order since Nov and was just called yesterday informing its on the truck and will be delivered possibly as early as Saturday 3/12. :clap:
