• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I ordered the shock adjusters from BajaRon on Monday. They were in the mail box when I got home from my ride today. Needless to say, I couldn't wait. They are installed. I can't wait to get out on the road in the morning. I installed the BajaRon sway bar about three weeks ago and it made a big difference. Will do a follow-up on how things go. Also, a big shout out to Ron for the fast service.

Was it a DIY project or did it require help for getting springs off the shocks? I was thinking about going with the adjusters but wondering on how to get the shock apart safely. :dontknow:

This was a DIY. I took the springs off the shocks myself. I used my bench vise as my assistant. It made the spring removal easier and safer. It is not bad at all as long as you take your time and follow the instructions. Ron even provides a pen so that you can check things off as you go. All together I took around four hours to do the project start to finish. Getting the upper shock bolt out can be a little tough, but not real bad. If you have any questions, send me a PM. I will be happy to help you out.

You will really like the BajaRon shock adjusters. I adjusted mine to 3 turns and found that it was a little too much and back them down to 2 turns now and have left them at that setting. It's certainly your decision between ride quality (stiffness of the ride) and your riding style.

They work great (I also have the BajaRon swaybar and heim links).

A big "plus" is that you get additional clearance on the Spyder as your increase your front shocks spring tension! I think mine is up just under 1" increase in clearance. If I remember correctly, the 3 turns yielded about 1" increase in height/clearance improvement. Even with a bumpskid, that little extra in clearance helps sometimes when leaving a gas station or any other transitional area that is "rough".

Enjoy!

BAJARONS SHOCK ADJUSTERS

I got the Bajarons Shock Adjusters installed tonight. It was fairly easy to follow instructions and it took me about 90 minutes to install from start to finish. The spring compressor tool that Ron has optional with the Kit worked great. Using a Offset 15mm box end wrench worked excellent for the top shock bolt without removing the Frunk. I Gained 1/2" of ground clearance with them zeroed out yet. It got dark and starting to mist rain so I have not taken it for a test ride to seat the springs and give them some more adjustment. So far I'm well pleased in how the adjusters and the sway bar have worked out. :2thumbs:

The adjusters are designed to be snug on the shock body so you will get some settling as you ride for the first few miles. I suggest that you ride the Spyder for a few miles with the adjusters at ZERO turns. But many simply set the adjusters to 2 full turns and let them settle that way. The main thing is that you will get a bit of settling in the 1st few miles so expect that.

Experiment a bit and see where YOUR sweet spot is.

Have fun!
