Got the P2279 & P0106 Codes = Tow

Can I assume that these are the vacuum hose codes, or you know what they say about assuming.

After getting fuel, got an "over temp message" and limp mode. Went away after starting up. Then about 1 mile down road, check engine light, running very rough, limp mode, then dead :gaah: After waiting about 30 minutes thought I could make it home, wrong!!!, started all over again.

Anyway just wanted to thank Tom & Robin (Showie) and his wife for helping out and bring some cold drinks in 100 degree heat and hanging out with us for several hours waiting for the tow

Anyone one have a picture, diagram or location of the vacuum hose/hoses for 2012 RT? Dealer not open until Tuesday:sour:

Just how and the heck could it be vacuum hoses that are throwing a code? This is a fairly new bike, same year as mine. Do the vacuum hoses just deteriate that quickly?? Does BRP just skimp on every part they put on this bike and then charge a arm and leg for their bikes? I hope this isn't something that is going to happen to me while a long distance from home. Tell me I'm wrong.:gaah: I feel better now that I vented some.hyea:

:agree: Ran great until yesterday, no problems what so ever. I guess I'll find out whats going on sometime this week when it's taken to the dealer. 14,145 great miles. Looked at vacuum hoses and all are good, couldn't be something simple... :gaah:

Just needs to get fixed soon, We're planing an going to Spyders In The Redwoods first week in August

So sorry to hear your having such trouble with your bike. Sounds like you picked a good ryde partner. Ya never know I might se you at dealer, I am supposed to bring mine in on Tuesday also around 9 or 10,(yellow 2013 RT-S). hope everything works out at dealer..

P2279 is intake air system leak and P0106 is a damaged sensor.

P2279 & P0106 Codes

Those two codes are exactly whet we got with cracked vacuum hoses. The two hoses connect to the MAPS sensor. A leak can produce code P0106 to the MAPS and code P2279 at the Manifold.

We fixed ours as described in this thread....
