Got Pedal Commander? Any Gas milage loss? Any Extra wear & tear?

Just took my new Pedal Commander install for a spin. I do mean spin! Not recommended to pull out of your garage for the first time on the highest setting. Two questions for the group
One. For those aggressive drivers, how much if any decrease in gas mileage have you noticed?
Two. What if any is the potential for increasing wear and tear on the bike?

I consider myself quite an aggressive rider. For the first 100-200 miles, the gas milage dropped. But after that, I have settled in and only use hard acceleration when doing certain things and in certain situations. So my milage isn't far from what it was stock. I did find out that for riding in the twisties, there can be too much trottle response when accelerating coming out of a curve. That is the main time that someone can lift the front wheel up. Too quick on the throttle can be bad in those situations until you get used to it. I have never had mine on the highest setting. It is normally on sport level 3 or 4. Never had it on sport2.

Am with Blacklightning on this subjest, I switch between settings quite often, when I drive with the missus, it goes in citymodus, when I drive with a particular group, it goes into sport+ or ++, If I am just cruising, I find no need for a too much throttle response. I mean it just depends on the situation.

What I think bout fuel mileage, ermm, I couldn't care less, I ride the spyder for fun, I work 10 hours a day, so the spyder is a hobby, on my spare time off...
About extra wear an tear, just don't think that's an issue, when you ride things hard, but keep good maintenance, is way better, as starting the machine, just to hear the sound, and rev it hard when cold.

I don't much care about the mileage, i leave it set on sport 4 and twist and go. you must be a bit more strategic in the twisties with the throttle . best mod i have done so far the bike..instant smile factor is a 10....

I put mine on two years ago. I love it almost as much as Ron's sway bar. I have not put it on sport plus, but I have heard its pretty crazy in that range, I put it in sport and worked my way up through the ranges until I could keep up with the guys I ride with, 2 Harleys, and Indian and a GW. Honestly, I can beat all four through the twisties and still keep up pretty well keep up on the flats. I know that engine has a lot more to give in sport plus...but I now ride at sport at the zero setting and it gives me the snap I want and IMHO no affect on mileage or undue stress on the engine. It "feels" like this is where it likes to run and at 60-70, the bike is so quiet, I can hear the Indian ahead of me and the Harley behind me (within reason) and I like to hear when I am riding. I do ride it pretty hard sometimes, but the RT is really more of a cruiser. I rode the sport at the +9 setting for quite a while and did not see any real decline in mileage, but I did not pay much attention to gas mileage, it gets better than anything I own and cheaper to fill up other than my lawnmower. I liked that setting as well, but I did soften it up, by going to the midpoint of sport at zero. Not for worry about mileage or engine, just a good sweet spot for that RT. Nice to know I have more or less at the touch of a button. That is a great add on. You will love it.

I played around with the settings on my PC and wound up just running city mode at 0. The sport modes are fun but not necessary for my style of riding. I would say I may have dropped 2 mpg but I'm not really into tracking it that close. As far as wear and tear I can't see it having a huge affect. If you are the type of rider who thrashes your Spyder constantly then of course it is going to wear out faster. That is true of any driving/riding machine.
