• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got my own Spyder RT S SE5 -- in love

Had to celebrate!

I have been a passenger on our goldwing trike for 5 years and decided that I wanted to ride too.
I got my motorcycle license at the end of July and have ridden 600 miles on the goldwing in the past month and a half. LOVE the wind in my face -I just HAD to get my own trike! Saturday, we went to the Sypder dealer - just to try it out. I rode the bright yellow, 2013- RTs SE5 demo (only 46 miles on it) - It was SO MUCH easier to handle than the goldwing! My shoulder did not ache from steering; I didn't hate every red light due to worrying about stalling; I just had fun and enjoyed the ride (all 8 miles of it). Got back to the dealer and said, "I want to buy this and I want to take it home today." In under 2 hours I was riding it home. I've been on it ever chance I've had since then. It looks great in the garage and is much admired in the parking lot at work.

Thanks to Spyderlovers for so much good information for riding -- running at a higher RPM than the goldwing was especially useful.
I will keep reading.
Any advise for brand new owner and rider will be appreciated.

Welcome NEW B

:welcome::congrats::2thumbs: Some place in the archives( don't know how to get to them tho)is a REALLY good thread about the "Do's and Don't's of Spyder ryding" I am sure some of the other :spyder2: folks will let ya know where that is. :welcome: :congrats: Wait until the Goldwing starts getting jealous from sitting; you both are going to enjoy the Spyder! :2thumbs:
One of our other members in here (BigRed1) also has both; they squabble in his barn all night long at times... He has to go throw a pail of water on them just to make them stop! :D
