Had to celebrate!
I have been a passenger on our goldwing trike for 5 years and decided that I wanted to ride too.
I got my motorcycle license at the end of July and have ridden 600 miles on the goldwing in the past month and a half. LOVE the wind in my face -I just HAD to get my own trike! Saturday, we went to the Sypder dealer - just to try it out. I rode the bright yellow, 2013- RTs SE5 demo (only 46 miles on it) - It was SO MUCH easier to handle than the goldwing! My shoulder did not ache from steering; I didn't hate every red light due to worrying about stalling; I just had fun and enjoyed the ride (all 8 miles of it). Got back to the dealer and said, "I want to buy this and I want to take it home today." In under 2 hours I was riding it home. I've been on it ever chance I've had since then. It looks great in the garage and is much admired in the parking lot at work.
Thanks to Spyderlovers for so much good information for riding -- running at a higher RPM than the goldwing was especially useful.
I will keep reading.
Any advise for brand new owner and rider will be appreciated.
