• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My spyder has been running a little hotter than it used to and I checked the over flow to see nothing in there. I was going to fill to the max line or just below. So off to the hardware store I go to get a funnel that I could use to get coolant in with. Then went to a can Am dealer (happen to be near by at the time) and bought the quart of coolant, $10 bucks, and when I get back home let it cool down. So finally start adding coolant and look under the bike to see it dripping down under the bike. I call Dougs Power sports and they give me the mechanic who says bring it up, I ask how long it will take can I wait for it or leave it. He says might be better to leave it . I say well I do have the Best Warranty and I hear these plastic tanks do get cracks , he said they do not stock them, and "he is not so sure this would be covered under warranty." What ? So I ask you all Has leaks been covered for others ? If not what is covered under this $900 dollar extra warranty? :banghead::hun:

BRP replaced and installed the coolant tank on my 09 GS when I went to the Owners Event. The seam on the tank split when I was about 150 miles away from Maggie Valley and I limped it in. BRP had a tech support team at the event who were helping with some issues with the Spyders and I took it to them to look at. They discovered the tank had split at the seam and ordered in a new reinforced tank overnight and installed it for nothing allowing me to continue riding and making the trek back to Michigan. I thought this was great customer support from BRP. I know a few others who had the same problem with the seams on the bottle and some folks were even carrying a spare with them in the event that the same happened to them.

Check radiator cap..

My 2013 RT Ltd had leaking problems, fixed by a new radiator cap. Now runs much cooler.

The coolant tank cracked on my 2010 RT after the factory warranty was expired. I don't have the BEST warranty but do have another aftermarket extended warranty. When I talked to a service rep at the dealership I was told that it would be covered under warranty. Otherwise, I would have replaced it myself. When I brought it in for repair, however, another service rep told me that the warranty didn't cover it. I asked if the factory warranty would have covered it and they said yes. I told them that when I bought the warranty, I had been told that it covered everything that the factory warranty covered. After some discussion, they agreed to split the cost with me and I was satisfied with that since it wound up costing me about the same as if I had bought the tank and replaced it myself. I guess there are two points to this; 1) According to my dealer, the tank should be covered under the factory warranty 2) Look a little deeper into any aftermarket extended warranty to be sure about what it covers. I didn't and I can't blame anybody but myself. Cotton

Little checking..!!

Being a known problem it should be covered. Some were even after expiration..press..!!
