• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got a nice surprise in the mail from BRP today

:doorag::congrats::agree::clap::2thumbs::yes::firstplace: YOU ARE THE GREAT LEADER OF SPYDERLOVERS :bowdown::bowdown::agree::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::doorag: LAMONSTER:doorag:

Hey! Good Deal Lamont! :congrats:
You Da MAN!

I like the way BRP does things like this! Kind of keeps you pumped up!

Now that BRP has promoted you to President.... Can I be Vice President? I've been in Parts (as in parts bike) long enough don't you think? :dontknow:

..hi lamont - maybe they allow you to make some test-rides on the new modell - to tell here something about ???
in europe we get a brp-card and a stick .. with the card i can telephone everywhere in europe if there is any problem with my spyder - they check to pick it up and pay also a hotel (free of charge) .. good idea because of the very few service-stations..

Ron someone that has supported the president like you have should be vice president or some kinda parts manager

Got mine today, but since I had taken 2 test rides, 1 at the Lawrenceville Ga dealership and 1 later that week at Myrtle Beach, I got 2.

Looks like they sent this out to everyone who has ever taken a test drive on the Spyder. It has a cool licence plate that says "TEST PILOTS WANTED" and it has a great plug for SpyderLovers on the first page. I got a feeling we will be seeing the membership here going up real soon. :doorag::spyder2:

Just got mine (in Massachusetts) today!

It's interesting just how much effort, creativity, and, of course, funding BRP puts into their marketing.

Lamont, I know we thank you here alot for starting and maintaining this site, but it's in BRP's best interest to recognize you as well--it's certainly well-deserved!

Hmm...Now, if I go and mount that plate thingy on my ryde, will that be interpreted as an invitation for folks to "test pilot" MY Spyder?! :dontknow:

BRP has to realize that Lamont's site is a driving force in people getting interested in, and feeling comfortable about buying a Spyder. Knowing this site was available to get experience from other owners was a driving factor in my purchase decision. I was leary about buying such a radically different machine until I read thru this site.

Today and yesterday I talked on the phone to guys that were thinking about a Spyder but had questions. In both cases I answered the questions honestly and both decided to go ahead and purchase a Spyder. This is happening about 3 to 4 times a week now. nojoke

The only "Parts Managing" experience I have is in getting my parts back! :joke:

You are definitely the reason I own one! I think it surprised even YOU!

There seems to be a fair amount of mis-information out there about the Spyder. Some of it is being generated by people that are supposed to know motorcycles.

I have been trying to talk my brother into trying the Spyder. He says they are an "Old Man's Bike". He sent me a link to a motorcycle magazine review which pretty much backed up his point.

Well, discounting the fact that my brother IS OLD, it is simply NOT TRUE that the Spyder is an old man's bike!

Ok, so it's no an FJR (which is what my brother rides now). But the Spyder definitely has the power to get anyone's heart pumping.

The trouble with that magazine review of the Spyder was that the guy seemed like he'd decided he didn't like the whole 3 wheeled concept before he even go on it. He never gave the machine a chance. It was all personal preference stuff. HEY! It's NOT a 2 Wheeled Motorcycle!

In short, the guy was a jerk!

I also own a Suzuki M109R. Great motorcycle and I love it. But I find myself riding the Spyder more.

Well, my trip out to California is going to be an opportunity to get my brother (and his wife) to test ride my Spyder. I may be able to sell 1 or even 2 of these.

Spyder riders are VERY evangilistic. We don't have to make things up or inflate reality. We just tell it like it is and people seem to sense that we're telling the truth. That sells!

I think this forum drives a lot more sales than anyone realizes.
