• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Goodbye & good luck

We have decided to trade our beloved 2008 Can Am spyder from hell in on a brand new 2009 big inch v twin cruiser 2 wheeler. It's company has a really great reputation for producing good products and for standing behind their products.
We really had to take it in the shorts to get out from under the spyder from hell.
We just don't have the strength or energy or patience anymore to keep fighting with Can Am Spyder BRP. It is just not worth it, our sanity is at stake here.
Thanks to all of our friends, and a special thanks to Lamonster & spyderlovers.com.
It's with a very heavy heart that we say goodbye and good luck.

Sorry you had to take a beating' Both Monetary and Mentally.
But Sometimes it's just better to cut and run; Than like you said lose your Saintly. Good Luck.

Good Luck on your new ride

Happy Trails

I'm one of the lurkers on here in that I don't have a Spyder RT just yet. Indications are that the 2011 Spyders will be will be much improved in quality. Maybe down the road you'll want to give a Spyder another try.
i understand you and Seth are good friends. Stay in touch.

Well Sir, it wasn't for lack of trying. Sometimes you just have to say enough is enough. I do hope you enjoy your new ride, it sounds great. Take care.

Sorry to hear about your troubles; I hope the dealership does the right thing and gets it fixed before peddling it on to someone else. :lecturef_smilie:

Worse still, They will wait for me to pass buy and sell it to me and let me ship it to Ireland where there is no dealer.
Seriously though,, good luck with your new purchase and may you have many years of trouble free driving.

The dealer should just sell it for parts [part it out] and not whole.[yea right]
From what i understand most of the parts are new anyway. [replaced]:gaah:

I know what you mean, did the same thing with both of my Spyders, but still hang around here to keep an eye on the Spyder family. Just may give it another try sometime in the future.
Good luck and ride safe!
Toby
