• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Goodbye my front Kenda's, thank you for your service. Your originals have served me very well and never waivered on this 08 Spyder with 23k miles. I know you still have some life left, but It's time I move on. Today you will be replaced by one inch wider car tires with an alignment. I'm sorry you have been the victim of verbal assaults from time to time from Spyderlovers members because of your wicked misfit brother, the rear tire. If only he had the stamina of you both.

:congrats: What will you be having hung on those rims next??
:agree: with your assessment; the front skins took perhaps a lot of beatings due to their lazy brother that held up the rear of the bike... :gaah:

My fronts are about shot at 22,000 plus. I think I'll replace mine with originals.

What tire did you go with Randy, or is it a secret?

Nice !!

you got good service would have been nice to know how much more you could've gotten. So new wider tires with alignment sounds great. Will you have to make mods to fenders..??

Randy's at my house for the weekend, but I will let him tell you what's going on. We are talking spyderquest 2014.:ohyea:

That's great mileage now just imagine what some real tires are going to do

Can't complain about my OEM fronts either. 23K out of the last set. The rear tire is another story altogether. 15K last one.

20000 kilometers (12437 miles) only for the front tires and ONLY 9000 kilometers (5592 miles) for the rear tire. No more Kenda scrap on my bike. Now, I have Michelin in front and Falken in rear.

After a lot of research on FRONT TIRE WEAR....I don't think it matters what tires you have ......What matters is the " ALIGNMENT " ...........IMHO......It's the best tire investment you can make ......so called rotating the fronts is a TOTAL waste of money ....Because you are not fixing the problem ......just masking the results :yikes:...Mike

I got a Kumho rear and a laser alignment at rnet'e this morning.
Ron and his family were great.
It was also good to see friends from SpyderQuest again.

Everything ran great on the way home.

And what a TERRIFIC man cave !!

Also, I found the Kenda scrap too slippery and noisy.

Wheels alignment was made after 300 miles and after front tires replacement.
