• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Very nice. I'm in the process now of searching for an all around useful trailer for my RT and that owe pretty much fills the bill. And sometimes the simple things are really the best.

I just noticed in the pics that you turned the carrier around. Did you make modifications to the existing trailer frame to accomodate the cooler and the canopy?

harbor frieght

Just purchased this hf trailer ,was on sale 349.99 had a25% coupon . final cost $ 262.50 throw in spare hub, xtra bearings ,spare tire, and ive got an awesome trailer with good reviews for under $350.00 total.one word of advice be prepared to deal with some aggrevation getting it titled, in PA. due to the fact the cert. of origin states it was sold as a kit unassembled. you need to do xtra paperwork and have it insp. at an enhanced inspection station much like a home made trailer. but hey for the price I feel its worth the trouble. NOW ALL I NEED IS A HITCH AND SOMEWHERE TO GO-TOW ADD ANOTHER 500.00 +

Discount coupon for Harbor Freight

that is a harbor freight trailer, they have them on sale right now for $399.99

The latest AARP Bulletin had an ad insert for Harbor Freight with a one-time 25% off coupon. You may be able to google and get the coupon too. That makes it really cheap.

The Spyder does not know when you hook up a trailer. The SM and SE are both blind to that fact. That's why you have to set trailer mode manually on the SE.

Glad the trailer is working out for you. It looks good.

My 13 ST-S picks up on the trailer being there when I hook up, but have to turn it off when disconnected.

update on actual cost

just to update everyone on the true cost of one of these trailers. I don't know about other states but pa. treats these like home made due to the fact you must assemble it from a kit.therefore a lot more is required to get a tag and title .My trailer cost me $262 to buy ,to get the tag and title was another $132for an enhanced insp. station to check it, take photos put a huge packet of papers together, next i'm off to the tag place another$114 for notary ,the state ,who knows what else but I should get my tag and title in 2to5 weeks . Still getting what I believe to be a great little trailer for around $500 bucks.JUST BE AWARE OF THE HIDDEN COSTS BEFORE YOU JUMP IN. this may not be the root to go for everyone!!

Sorry to hear your state is such a pain. In Michigan you just need to get it weighed and pay the $75 lifetime registration fee.

'10 RTS SE5 I must switch to trailer mode every time I start/restart it. I thought I was told it was supposed to sense when trailer was connected but it never has. Sort of a pain when traveling and stopping for gas every 130 miles.

I have this trailer and have towed it over 8,000 miles so far. One warning...the bearing grease is HORRIBLE. It's kind of like Vaseline. nojoke

At 5k I had to change the bearings because one side was totally toast. I also added 12" wheels to help the wheel bearings (fewer RPMs with 12" wheels).

Other than that, it's been a trooper.

I never use trailer mode, I hate being told what I can and can't do. I use my grey matter to determine when and how to shift as the computer does not have a clue what I'm doing. If I'm going downhill and the engine is above 3500 RPM it don't care if you have a sailboat behind you pushing or a 622 back there.
