• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good deal?

Roadking for a spyder

I bought a new spyder last Oct. I got a 2009 SM5. I also have a 2008 Harley Roadking and a 2002 Indian. I have a great time on all 3 of them. The spyder gets alot of looks but so does my Indian. The Roadking is just alot more pleasant to ride on a trip. 6 speed verses a 5 speed on the spyder. Bigger engine on the Harley. Better reliability on the Harley. If you have trouble on the Harley there are dealers everywhere. I love riding my spyder but if i had to get rid of one of the 3 bikes the spyder would be the 1st to go. I am not trying to talk you out of anything just trying to give something to think about. If you are out to get looks and you really don't ride on trips alot maybe you would like the spyder better. Mine gets terrible gas milage. I rode it about 45 miles tonight and it quit on me twice. I still had alot of fun on it and it turns alot of heads but i will take the Harley any day.

Gimpy Girl, what dealerships did you go to? I went to Motorcycle Mall in
Belville and was out the door in June with an 09 for 17,092.00 Extreme Machines in Millstone off of 33 West was a bit more expensive but probably a hike for you.
Xraypat. You're gonna love it...sooo much fun!

Thanks everyone! I think I've landed a deal with the folks at Ledgewood Kawasaki. Once I get it, I'm sure I'll have a zillion questions to bug everyone with~ and I hope to find some folks in the area who are willing to show me how to do some work when I add on some goodies to the :spyder2:

Thanks again for the thoughts on this all!

welcome I just picked up an '09 SE5 a couple of weeks ago with the custom seat, fog lights, a tank bag and a Yoshimura exhaust for $12,500. It's slightly used, 1450 miles, but the ride is AWESOME! Whatever you do, don't wait. There's a Spyder out there with your name on it. Tomorrow morning I'm putting a Cal Sci windshield on mine & hitting the Arizona highways.

Good Luck,

Bluzroker
welcome that's a pretty good deal there.
