• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

the gold plugs for the 998 spyder engine comes with washers, are they crush washers, or do you reuse the same ones each oil change?

When I did my 18.5K service I shot a little video about Gold Plugs and my thoughts.

I know many will not agree with me but this is my opinion!

Here's the thing....

Aluminum or copper is fine and as long as the washer contacts the flat surface of the plug it will seal well. You can reuse them but they don't recommend more than once or in a pinch. For the price and avilability just change them each time. I have the Dimple plugs and they make a mess cause the magnet is so strong that when you try to pull it from the oil tank (all metal) the plug jumps out of the socket and sticks to the edge of the tank and oil spills out all over the place...but the magnets are the super magnets and flush with the top of the plug....

Crush washers

One time use. Sure, you might be okay a second time....like a condom....but, I would not risk it!!!

Can't think of anybody doing that, using a condom twice. Too gross to even think about it.:yikes::yikes::yikes:
