4 weeks go I tripped going down the TWO!!!
cus
stairs into my garage when my wife and I were leaving for work. As I was sitting up, I notice that the wrist was .5" in the wrong location
A panicked trip to the ER (thank God my wife was there to help me) and I got the news that I broke the scaphoid (very bad news), the radius and the tip off my ulna. A week later I get screws in everything and a big old plate to boot. TSA will love me.
I was told no pushing/pulling/lifting for 3 months :gaah: That means no 1 month old Spyder for the rest of the season unless global warming throws me a bone this winter. I'm out of a splint after only two weeks thanks the screws and plate holding me together, but now the therapy begins. I damn near cried when I sat on my favorite redhead and couldn't even grip the throttle. Thankfully I'm feeling better and therapy is starting to produce enough results I can ride as pillion and hang on with one hand and my legs for simple little rides. It's bitter sweet to be on it but not able to ryde.
Here's to hoping therapy gets me back to normal faster than expected! I miss my Spyder!
Stay safe everyone!
