• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone ever set out the steps for reverting back to the stock muffler from a Hindle in the shop talk forum? I was unsuccessful with my search.
I recall there is something about needing a new gasket ring and a reset procedure with the battery. As you can tell from this thread I will not be doing the work myself.....the lovely husband will ! I need to quiet down `Lil Pumpkin` for the campground resort we will be staying at in Florida over the Christmas holidays...small price to pay for a few weeks of sunshine !
Thank you !

Hopefully, you kept your parts when you changed over. The hindle slides on and needs nothing...however, it does leak after some time and will need some high temp. sealing...the stock has a 'ring' that connects the pipe to the bike...there has been some concern over this but not everyone has had a problem...I didn't but I also didn't ride 25k with the stock muffler.

BRP should have some information regarding the gasket change...apparently, there is a flaw with some...perhaps they check by VIN number...

My two cents...leave the hindle on...great pipe and gives you more HP...

bjt put his stock muffler back on. He bought a gasket from Evan I think. Your dealer may have one as well. You shouldn't have to do anything with the battery. Just put the muffler and gasket back on and viola, you are good.

Thanks for the input !!
I will look into getting a ring - hopefully in time before we leave next Saturday

Good luck...

For the record, BRP recommends the battery disconnect and running idle for 15 minutes after the change to help map the new exhaust system. Whether or not this really does anything, I have no idea...I did it when I put on my hindle because they recommended it.

BRP mapped the stock and hindle into their system...others are not configured and probably take some time for the ECU map to register...

If you have any other questions, your dealer should be able to assist you...
