• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Go Eagles!

Went to the very first Super Bowl, on Jan 15th 1967 at the Los Angeles coliseum, back then called the World Championship Game, my ticket I have says $12, but we got a discount cuz the YMCA bought it for our Gray Y football team.

 Glad to hear that you still have it!
It's kind of like having an "Aquarian Arts Festival" ticket hung on your wall...
They were $25.00... :D

...Before they became FREE!

It's a free country and everybody has the right to visit who they like and not visit who they don't. We don't need President Steaming Pile of Poo over ego-ing the entire Philly team.

If you missed the 2nd half of the SB you missed a good one.

Mr. RinconRyder:

You are correct in the content of your first sentence. And as to your second sentence, we all understand that for whatever reason (and I'm sure in your mind there are many), this type of vitriolic comment is totally inappropriate and unnecessary.

I think I may speak for others when I ask that you save this type of comment for when you are at the bar with like minded friends.

Thank you,

I knew I would get flamed. But...I have stuck to my guns. After my first protest post against those who refused to respect our flag, I chose to boycott all further games and have accomplished my goal.

Sorry, those that are making millions and choose to disrespect our country in the process--can go someplace hot. When football becomes non-political--maybe I will go back. Not going to hold my breath though.:yes:

If post #16 wasn't written, then I believe post #20 wouldn't have been a reply. So, maybe the writer of post #16 needs to save it for his gathering of like minds, politicizing. That way we don't have to see or hear on what side of the fence we may be on, regarding the white house.

This is a free country and you are certainly free to boycott whomever you wish for any reason thereof but I don't understand why it is disrespecting our country. A total of, what, a dozen players out of a couple thousand are kneeling? How does that make 'football' political? This country was founded upon protest. My ancestral family was split in half by the American Revolution with those siding with the British moving to Canada and the protesters remaining here.

I am a veteran who went to war because my country said it was to defend our shores and way of life. Turned out to be a huge lie. If anyone has a beef with the 'USA' it is the Vets who struggled, sacrificed and sometimes gave their lives. That same country has the responsibility to tell the truth and it has not done so - time after time.

I am reminded of Jane Fonda who is notorious for her photo op with some NVA anti-aircraft gunners during Vietnam. She had every right to protest the war but she was absolutely wrong in the way she did it. Other people threw Molotov cocktails through store windows and that was wrong as well. Others marched and prayed. The NFL players who kneel use a passive display and are not injuring anyone. If one desires to make a point that seems much more preferable to more violent methods.

And where does "disrespecting the flag" happen? If anything they were showing their protest when the anthem was playing. I have to think they are protesting against one thing or another they feel is wrong with America but I could not tell you just what it is. They have a platform and are using it. Most people, it seems, are paying no attention and neither am I. Personally, I think animal abuse is a much more significant problem.

Yes, you have the right to boycott. And both of us have the right to protest what isn't right with America. I will not criticize you for the way you feel but think it is kind of dumb to bypass enjoying one of the most significant sporting events we have to protest a protest.

RR: We both have spoken our opinions. I respect yours. Hope you respect mine. A little disappointed that you referred to me as "kind of dumb" because I did not partake.

Actually, The piece posted in #16 was copied/pasted from a larger Yahoo story. I should have put quotes and a source. I will edit #16 and do that.

The post was made to show that there is still protesting by players going on--something I think is wrong.

My mistake, I thought they were your words.

Note, I said "it is kind of dumb" not "you are kind of dumb".

As I said, you are entitled to your opinion. Some will find fault with it. Others won't. Nothing to fight about however (IMHO).

We're good!
