• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have read on this forum about the new remote control Gloryders not being as bright as the non-remote control ones. I, for one, agree they are not near as bright. I'm thinking 30 - 40% less. So when I was at Spyderfest this week I went to the Gloryder tent. I talked to a young lady rep that was there and asked her if they were getting any complaints of them not being as bright. She said they were not and they knew that. She said it's because they "use more energy". I asked why didn't they post that on their website when they came out with them? After all, I bought them for more light. She said they are working on it and will come out with something else by the end of this year. So I guess to get more light and remote control that will cost us more $$$. I do like the product I just wish they were brighter...

Agree with you.....................

I ordered the remote upgrade when announced. Then received in the 2nd shipment. After the 1 shipment read they weren't as bright, disappointing plus for some reason I though they would include an option to turn on automatically like the originals. Never took the remote upgrade out of the package, decided to keep my "bright" white originals. Now having a hard time finding someone to buy the upgrades from me for a reduced price.

The remote light have two settings. Turn on the color you want and puss the lock button. Then turn off. The next time you turn on the color you selected will be on low power puss the lock button and they will brighten.
i hope this will help because the low setting is too dim.

The brightness difference is negligible. especially for the "white" color, which requires even more power than any of the single colors since it uses all the color leds to create the white.

I offer these two photos. The first, is the original gloryders with freshly charged batteries. the second is the remote controlled gloryders with freshly charged batteries on the "bright" setting. Both pictures are from the same angle and used the same focal point and taken in a completely dark room. In even a lit room, or ambient light from a dark street, the new lights are barely visible. I loved seeing the ring of light in the reflections of cars and shop windows next to me, but this ring reflection is. not. visible. with the new ones, lending descriptiveness to the dimness of the new model.

Just a word on the new Remote version.

Consider what you receive in comparison to the Automatic Version

1. The convenience of a remote control - in response to many requests for complete control over the wheel lights
2. The ability to turn them on/off and all 9 colors in one PCB. - The cost for each new color for the automatic is $39.00.
3. Only 2 batteries in comparison to 3 in the automatic version - save 2 batteries each replacement.

And, all this at the same price rather than raising it which is usually the case with new products. The concession is a difference in the brightness due to the fact that the remote control transceiver is on 24 hrs a day. Many have reported they feel the advantages are well worth it.

There is always a concession to be made on the first advance in technology. I remember purchasing my first plasma for $5000.00, my latest one cost $495.00 and is 10 times the TV. Will we continue to improve the product? Yes, we have a 2.0 version currently in production going through testing. One thing is certain make no mistake, we hear you and and are constantly working to improve the product. We hope you will grow with us as we develop this awesome new technology.
