GIVI Topcase installed

Got my Givi Monolock E370 topcase mounted tonight. It's actually 39 Lt. size and can fit a single full sized helmet with room to spare.

Had to make some spacers (not shown in pics) and play around a bit to get it to mount to the BRP rack plate - but it worked pretty well. Case pops on and off with the key. Can still pop in the BRP backrest if I want, but I also installed the backrest pad on the Givi case - so that should work too.

Got the whole setup from Sport Tour in Ohio www.sporttour.com

Total came to $ 245 - didn't think that was too bad.

I might tweak the mounting a bit later - but it seems pretty solid .

Myself, I'm more interested in their deep-fried double cheeseburger!

Other Mike here and I like the top case. My wife loves the BRP backrest because it curves and makes her feel secure on the corners. For trips, I would like to go with the Givi top case for more room, but not sure she would like the pad on the Givi case, but for $245, it might be worth trying.

DUDE!!!! The Triple D Burger! (as featured on the Food Network!)...
It's about 10 easy miles from me. I went there in March with some HD friends (their first ride of the year, not mine!). They all split one of those burgers! Imagine...a thick cheeseburger and then they batter it and deep fry it! You can hear your arteries clog before it even gets to the table!!! :roflblack:

They will deep-fry anything...and the deep-fried olives are excellent! nojoke Let's go!!! :2excited:

I don't ride 2-up very often-- but if I did I would use the BRP backrest as you do. I go the topcase more for longer overnight trips so I can take an extra helmet should the need arise to give someone a ride, or just to have extra storage.

I've got another new helmet coming - Scorpion EX-100 1/2 - so I'll still want to carry my full face just in case I need a change (think rain).

Any noticable difference on your seat? Any time to test it out?

Anyway...Joe's Gizzard City is in Potterville, MI...about 10 miles SW of Lansing off I-69. I'll go there anytime y'all want to go! (they have all kinds of stuff that's not deep fried...just in case you're worried about your arteries hardening on the trip down here!)

Hey "other Mike"!...although, that name may actually apply to me rather than you since I'm probably a newer Spyder owner (July twenty-something 2008)...I'll let you know whenever we do the Gizzard City thing so you and Nancy can join in on the fun.

Joe's Gizzard City is a bar/restaurant in Potterville (nice small town) that is a friendly place for bikers and families alike. Good times. :clap:

BRP seat skin is very nice design and really helps the looks. It is an easy install (not counting the hour to get the seat and Givi racks off and another hour to reinstall). I think the stock cover looks too much like my Sea Doo. I'm not very heavy and the stock seat worked fine on our 400 mile days, but it did feel slippery. I have only ridden 20 miles with the seat cover, but it does feel tackier. The photos on the factory site and in the catalog really don't show much of the stitching design that creates the custom look. I am very happy with it. Thanks again for the deal and for the feedback on the Givi case pad versus the BRP backrest. Since my wife likes what we have, it may be a losing battle to try to get her to like the Givi setup unless I can sell her on the trade off of getting to take extra clothes.

Unfortunately, we can't even go by Mike S. since that doesn't clear it up. We could go by Mike Silver and Mike Yellow. June 1, 2008 took delivery and now at 5,500 miles. Potterville would be a nice ride for us. We are still making graduation party rounds and have some weddings to attend, but hope to have a few open weekends.
