Check out Lamonstergarage video
It's a bit more involved than that.
Not at all!!! At least for the F3-S. I posted a short video on how I did it with just the service panels off.
I think the video shows the F3-T, like yours. Mine is an F3-S
The T and the S are pretty much the same.
It's a bit more involved than that. Also depends if you have a windshield, etc. My first time took me several hours; but if you take your time it will be well worth it!
Hello. New rider. Picking up RT tomorrow. Anyone know or have advise on steering. Coming off a two wheel. So this is new
I don't think you need to remove the dash or mirror for that model.
when you remove others there are tiny little nuts that disappear into the engine canyon
Also the switch for the fog lights did not fit the hole in the plastic. I didn't want to hammer it in or use pliers so I took out my pocket knife to scrape out some clearance
So that's where my battery post nut went! The lateral console panel needs be slightly re-position in order to gain better access to the headlight housing assembly and the only way to do that is by removing the mirrors and the windshield. The dash doesn't need to come off.
LOL! that happened to me while I was working the signature light, I dropped a tiny nut so I started loosening the bottom maintenance panels and in the process I found a 10mm socket, a #1 Phillips bit and of course my little nut. Apparently the prior owner or the mechanic were too lazy or not mechanically inclined for the job.
The switch diameter is 19mm and since it is a latching switch you have to screw it in. I believe that the 16mm one will pop in there with no problem but it will not be a snug fit.
Don't be too hard on yourself dude, at least you're learning and getting acquainted with your trike. My last motorcycle was a Ducati and Italians do things the mafia way; you have to pay them or else. The Spyder F3 isn't hard to work on at all.
