This morning I got the fault codes c0040 and p2545 as soon as U started the bike. I also got the check engine light and the yellow light on the lower left on the panel. does anyone know what these codes are and how to fix them? thank you in advance for your help I own a 2011 rss with the 998 motor.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

According to MY SPYDER2 App; C0040: brake pedal switch failure. Check bulb, fuses, the switch itself
p2545: VSS failure , possibly related to brake fail, check harness as well. (Especially if find blown fuses)Default multiple codes on spyders : check battery -load test & clean tight connections.

I checked and 'c0040' was listed as 'right front wheel speed sensor (ABS). Give them a try and find things out. Lots of information on the Web.
