• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Getting close to decision time. I need some input from those who have ridden an F3-L and RTL?

Hello Driverwanted, I'm GDoc. GDoc is a club name I go by, I'm a Blue Knight, with the Blue Knights International Motorcycle Club. So your looking at getting a Spyder? I own a 2016 Can-Am Spyder RTS SE6, the color is Orbit Blue. Couldn't believe it back in September of 2020 when I was just looking at Spyders on line and I saw the one above which had just rolled out onto the showroom floor about 20 minutes earlier. I thought, Wow, my favorite color, what are the chances, used, low miles, 1,348, the price tag is right, and again, it's my favorite color blue! Not a second thought, I made the call. Dropped the first $500, and a little over a week later, the Spyder was in my driveway. After 5 minutes, my wife walked out and see's 👀 this big blue Spyder and she says, "what's this?" Oh yeah, I didn't tell her I purchased the Spyder. I figured better to have it than to ask. Oh yeah, this was my retirement Spyder. Two years early! But why wait. I thought I was going to hear her say send it back, she didn't like the Honda Goldwing I had purchased many years go, she would not get on my GW. To my surprise she said when do I get to go for a ride? She loves the ride.

Driverwanted, back to the info your looking for. I wanted something comfortable to ride for short and long rides. The Ryker is not, just not for me. The Spyder RT is the way to go. Since you're looking at the 2025 or 2026 year models, what I like is the handle bars! You can fine tune them to your reach. I would also say with out a doubt that you will want the RT with "Running boards". When you're out on long rides you will be happy with the running boards! You will want the storage that comes with the RT. Back when the 2020 year models came out, they designed the rear trunk to be removable if you wanted the sporty model look.

I would also suggest to check with the BRP Spyder Dealerships in your area to see who offers the Spyder Rides, where you get to go for long rides. Again, I would suggest to get the Spyder RT with the front trunk, which we call the frunk; the rear trunk; and the side bags for the trips you will be taking.

Last year, July 2024, Blue Knights International Motorcycle Club had our 50th Anniversary in Maine. Me and 3 other Blue Knights from our chapter rode from Tennessee to Maine and back. What a ride, we rode the Tail of The Dragon, 11 miles with 318 curves - what a blast! Heck, I was ready for more. In fact, our club is planning a ride to Big Ben State National Park here in Texas, just a short 3 day trip. Next year, 2026, our club is in the planning stages of a 19 maybe 20 day trip from Texas to Canada.

Without a doubt the RT is the way to go. You can add a trailer to pull, the extra seat for the Mrs., or more room for luggage - you can't go wrong.

Well, I've blabbed long enough. I hope I helped, because if I had to do it all over again, I'd still do it the same way. My Spyder was not even broke in yet and the color is perfect. Well Driverwanted, Welcome to Spyderlovers Forum.
