Had a fun little ride yesterday enjoyed the weather and sites.

There is a trick to getting the pictures right side up. Many of us do not know it.

Perhaps one who does, will make it right. From Kelly's Heroes: "we don't need no negative waves here."

I have attempted to post pictures right side up. Many times the end up at 90*.

It's really simple guys. Go to the pic you want to post and open it in photos (assuming you are using Microsoft). Next click on the crop icon at the top of the picture (looks like a square with a diagonal line through it). On the right side click on the rotate box, rotate the pic to vertical, then change your aspect ratio from 4:3 to square. At the bottom of picture click save a copy. Voila you now have the correct position for posting on Spyderlovers.com ...... or any other website you might be having this problem with, in your pictures folder.

Further to AR's post above, please read the PM I sent you regarding this - it's not usually done deliberately, and despite the 'solution' offered by Valkrocket working SOME of the time, there are occasions when the poster may not have access to do that, may not have any idea of how to do that, or they may just find that it doesn't work in that particular instance (the last is largely due to the idiosyncracies of the Forum platform :sour: ) so we all need to be a little tolerant with others about this. :thumbup:

Or you can just use a photo hosting service (free or paid) to store you photos. They provide a link to post on forums or elsewhere, so you get a full sized upright image (below) as opposed to a little thumb nail that others have to click to see. I use Postimage, it allows you to store your photos in organized folders (for different categories) and its free.

Yeah, but then there's likely to be some people who just can't see your pics - too big for their device/screens!! :lecturef_smilie:

Hey, some (fewer) people might not even be able to open any thread that you've posted your 'big pics' in, especially if you've put more than about 5 pics in any one post!! :gaah:

At least with the thumbnails, everyone will get to see them and be able to choose to open them or not; and for almost everyone, if they do so choose, the Forum software will open them in a size that will display on the available screen size. hyea:

So IMHO, going with the thumbnails is actually the choice of options if you want more people to see your pics, even if it means that occasionally one might (at least initially) end up on its side or upside down!

Well I've been a member of several different ridings forums ever since the forums have been around. I usually dont see that to be a problem in these current times, unless you're running on an old system like Windows 98, XP, or Vista (which I dont think will even work anymore). I do see more sideways or upside down images on here and other forums using the thumbnail method. All modern tablets, smart phones & computers usually adjust the image for their screen size (within reason), I know mine do. Of course if someone was to post a huge 4000 or 5000 wide pix size image, that would be another story. But most people know that and dont usually post images of that size on any of the forums that I'm at. Since computers have been around for a long time, most people have the basic knowledge now.

Back to the original topic: I frequently travel Route 66 from Kingman to Seligman/Crookton.
The Hualapai want travelers to not stop until off the reservation (east of Peach Springs) due to the Covid panic.
The Route 66 emblem was removed from the Crookton (I40 exit 139) end.
Used to see many tourists stop in the middle of the road for a photo op.
Not seeing bus loads of Japanese tourists since the panic.
