• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New guy here-- after much reading it looks like my 08 syder aint the only one that,, r-n-e codes and check engine lights on the dash . the nearest dealer for me is 800 to 1000 miles away Seattle or Ancorage, so just how hard is this sensor to replace ? and is there a shork test to make sure this is what is causing the problem befor I just go ahead and order one --- Ps I love doing lots of burnoffs I'm pretty sure that is when all the trouble started,, I cant help it with only 90 miles of road ya got to do somthing to make ya smile

R-N-E CODES

I Have them all the time also and have just learned to ignore them.....The computer is all screwed up and they are meaning-less ...at least on my :ani29:. and I don't trust any dealer to fix it soooooooooooo as long as it runs ...I'm good with that....

:welcome: It's good to hear of another :ani29: owner in Juneau. I am afraid I cannot give you much expertise about your mechanical problems.

I recommed Team CC in Eagle River/Wasilla for mechanical information and any work on the :spyder2: should you need it.

Let us know what you end up doing.

Juneau is an intersting place. Not accessible by road, but yet it is our state capital. The only way you can get there is by plane or ferry. How is that for protecting the legislators from the people they serve. :roflblack:

I wish that we could cut Albany loose and set it afloat somewhere...
Come to think of it; The same thing goes for New York City!

Ya thats were mine came from. Team CC - and last year when I got my dividen I tryed to get them to send a teck down on my dime and work on it but all I got was the run around and AML wants a thousand bucks each way to send it up to Ancorage so for now I'm just living with the problem but it sucks if I'm driving I can get to the higher gears fast enough not to through the error code but my wife dont drive like I do and it always screws up on her, kind of a bummer to have a 17 thousand doller bike that aint perfect

My sensor went on the weekend ,its about a 1 hr job to test the wiring and to take the sensor off, taking the left side covers off, taking off the reverse lever ,frt sprocket.I'am waiting for the new sensor from the dealer apparently there is a updated sensor to replace the old ones which have a flaw. The manual say's the sensor has to be reset with BRP software I'll repost on this when I install the new one when it comes in next week. Also it was good timing this occured when taking off the frt sprocket the retaining bolt was loose:bowdown:

Sorry to hear about your service experiences. I know that CC has been short on help in the service dept. so I can see why it did not work out for them to send a tech to you to do the work--even on your dime. That's a pretty hard one to get from any service dept.

RE: AMD--enough said.

Hope you can eventually get the service issue worked out.

maybe you could ask the teck if the new part for SURE has to be computer flashed, I sure hope it could just be instaled cause there aint no teck around me

The earlier ones certainly didn't - don't know why a newer version would. If you get stuck in limp mode, removing the electrical plug from the sensor will allow the trike (SM5 only) to be ridden normally but dash will display fault warning. Spyder doesn't like to think it's in R when going forward :opps:
