• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas Strut Spring

Saw an article about the gas strut spring on Spyderlovers, and have tried to find it, but am not able. When I search all I get are articles with the word strut in them. Can anybody give me the link as I want to buy the 35# unit because I use a Blacksheep pad when traveling. Thanks :yes:

I don't have a link, but I think it was decided that an auto parts store would have what you need; just take along the OEM piece...

This talks about the strut that holds up the seat, if that is the thread that you are looking for.

If you read the original thread, link a few messages up, there is a link to rock auto parts there n clearance for $7. I ordered mine from there and to 30 seconds to swap out the strut.

Need to do the same. Looks like the Strong Arm #4423 (from this thread) will do the trick.

There are a few threads on SL that address this problem but of the ones I've read I have yet to find the specs for the OEM "gas springs." So here they are. The manufacturer is Suspa in Grand Rapids, MI.
