There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Gas Mileage?

What gas mileage are you getting with the F3, paddle or manual clutch with or without windshield, bags, exhaust mods, average speeds hills flatland etc.....and what changes did the mods make better or worse mileage.

You have a lot of parameters in that question but appear to be missing the most important one, pegging the fun meter. That's the most important one. JMO.

Yikes...!!

:agree: if you need an answer to each and the combination of any and all it will be a while. You also have type of fuel, weather and temp, altitude and speed and ryding style to add . Just for reference I get 33 mpg's on my RS you should be doing a lot better...

Only 30 mpg here. Pretty much stock, SE6, nothing special.

I live on an island in the middle of the Pacific with an area of only 562.3 square miles. My fun meter is always pegged. enough said. nojoke

Bottom line--most 998's get 31 or so mpg. Most 1330's get 41 mpg. Your mileage MAY vary slightly from the above.

That 41 must be straight hwy mileage at or below 70 mph. Just like auto mnfg's they have a city & hwy mileage rating. The hwy mileage can be up to 40% higher than the city. I run mixed mileage and average approx. 30-32mpg on my F3's. I haven't had the opportunity or much desire to ride several hundred miles of straight Highway at the posted speed limit==I'm in Ohio & I'm a fair weather rider, I have hit 110 mph in 5th gear on the SE6 F3's--that my fun :-)

Don know, I never check, I gas up and go, and don't have to do it very often so that feels like great gas mileage to me

Say wha--. Gas Mileage???????? Check the search engine. You will find a different answer for every question. It's kind of like asking the average speed for a Desert Sand Turtle.

Parameters:

Temperature

Tailwind

Headwind

How near is water

Is it mating season

How old is it

Day or night

Well being an astute Spyder Ryder you can see there are too many variables to answer any of these questions accurately. You see the turtle has variable speed and mostly dwells in the flat desert. Not so the Spyder.

The good news is he doesn't use oil or need tires!

My 2015 RTS SM6 gets 32-35 ,which I think sucks. I had a Honda Civic that got 40 mpg. I do still love my RTS though.

3,300 miles so far.

Yes it is. I live near the highway and most of my riding is there. 65 to 70 is the mph also.

Trike vs. Bike MPG

Any trike or trike converted motorcycle including Can AM Spyders as well as sidecar rigs will only get about 2/3 to 3/4 the MPG of a 2 wheeled motorcycle. The increased weight plus greater aerodynamic wind resistance and add the increased rolling resistance & mechanical friction all take more energy to move. It's just physics at work. Just get out & enjoy your ride and quit worrying about gas mileage.

Have F4 Custom Windshield on my 2015 SE6, regardless of what I do I average around 40 MPG...

Mileage

When you are having the time of your life riding a F3-S, who cares about fuel consumption....not me.:yes:

On EVERY forum I've been on there is always someone with your response to an mpg question. There is a difference between "worrying" (as you call it) and just plain curious. Some millionaires buy cars with EPA highway ratings of 13 mpg and still wonder about their mpg. I can't imagine that they are "worried". I am curious about all of our vehicles mpg and am worried about none of them. Being aware of your normal mpg is also helpful in recognizing some sort of a malfunction. If I routinely get 25 mpg and then start to get 19 mpg, I realize that a problem exists.
The physics explanation part of your response was very good, by the way.

Mileage

Mt 13 RTS SE5 gets about 25 in town and 30-32 on the highway, FPM or fun per mile is outside of the measurable range on the positive side.

IMHO
I think the main reason for a lot of people asking about gas mileage is for trip planning, getting used to their new Spyder and for new riders. I agree with the fun factor but bench marks are very useful.
