• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas door installed

I posted some photos a week or so ago of the gas door I had installed. Here are some better photos and it works great. I had the stock seat lumbar moved back 2", added the Utopia back rest, added heat and the gas door.

Nice. Would love to see a "How-To" for us other DIYers. :firstplace:

Nice Job!:firstplace:
And I agree with the others, that should be a factory option. nojoke

Definitely need How To. One thing Bikerdoc I like your picture but how did you take it on 12/10/2012 ?? Time machine

Not really sure of the price just for the gas door as he reduced the lumbar, installed backrest, added heat, etc. My best guess would be $100-$150.

Gas door

Very nice work. I know that the gas door is more convenient than having to lift the seat each time for refueling but I do like the fact that my gas tank/cap is not available for tampering. For many years I cursed the gas door on my 4 different Honda PC 800's. Had to lock and unlock it each time for fueling. Then on a trip with other bikers some of the bikes without locking gas caps had gas problems after a night at the motel. We think but do not know if someone added water to those bikes. Quite a mess the following day. So as much as I like the great custom work you did I think I will stay with my secure under the locked seat gas cap.

He had the seat about 6 days to do everything. (moved lumbar back, added heat, installed Utopia backrest and added gas door)
