• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas Cap Hissing

Has anyone experienced a hissing sound from the gas tank after shut down. Opening the gas cap stops the sound. This infrequently occurs, 2019 F3L. The last time with the tank on the empty side.

My research on this site is relatively old, 2016, and this didn’t seem to result is much concern about the hissing.

Thanks

My F3 does it when gas in tank is warm. Excess pressure venting off. Makes a whining sound. My BRP snowmobiles do the same thing.
Loosening cap lets that pressure out.

Yes. Mine was very annoying. It took me a while to figure out where the sound was coming from. It got embarrassing, in traffic. I solved the problem by replacing it with a fuel cap from LaMonster. Works great, and very nice not having to deal with fighting to close the original fuel cap and, of course, no weird noise.

That's just the high-priced fuel giving you the "razzberry" as it eats through your wallet and exits out your exhaust pipe....:(
