• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Made the switch to F3L

I finally got my 2019 F3L picked up from Louisiana and brought back home to Central Texas. And yes, I am loving it!!!

I have owned a 2016 RTL for almost 3 years and did most of my own wrenching. Pretty familiar with taking all the Tupperware off after viewing some good videos. BTW- it’s still for sale!

I can’t seem to find much on panel removal for the F3L, specifically the upper panel removal around the gas tank. I removed the side panel easily and the left access plate to fish a GPS wire from the handlebar to the accessory circuit provided. In the process I think I must have messed with the heated grips button because the yellow light encircling the switch is not lit. The rear passenger heated grip button continues to light.

I’ve searched here, the Operator’s Guide and on tube with no luck. Anyone have experience with the panel removal and can comment or can direct me to a site to research?

:congrats: on your new F3L. I was a dyed in the wool RT person until 2020 when I bit the bullet and traded the RT-S for a new 2019 F3L. A totally different ride, and I liked it so much, we traded our 2011 RT for a new 2020 F3L in Jan of 2021.

I don't miss some of the frills, I like the lower to the ground CG, and it seems a bit more peppy in the performance area. What's not to like?

I downloaded that on my iPad previously but have no Table of Contents to search the manual

There usually is a Table of Contents, but it does not automatically appear when you open the document, Dan. You have to hit the bookmark icon at the top of your screen when you have loaded the document, and then hit the relevant arrow on the right (not the text). You also have the option of a “text” search that works well. Have another read of your install guide, just in case it is in there and you missed it.
