• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi,

Soon to own a 2014 ST-S SE5. I am having a cigarett lighter installed on the dash. Will plug in GPS. So where do I want mount my GPS. Right now I am thinking of between the handle bars. But just a guess because I have not seen many Spyders around here, and I am not sure.

Your rec. on a mount? Won't be touring much so rain proof stuff is not a concern. :sour: How about the best anti glare GPS?

There are a couple of vendors on this web site that offer GPS mounts , one in particular is J T machine offers a bar on which you can mount a couple of different devises using ram ball mounts..

This is how I did it

I mounted mine using RAM mounts all purchased @ www.gpscity.com The ball mount is RAM-B-272U. Medium length arm RAM-B-201U. They also offer many cradles to fit various GPS units, or you could use the X-Grip mount. A sandwich bag keeps the rain off. I use a Tom Tom. As far as glare goes, I can still read it & it didn't cost $600. You will need to purchase a longer mounting bolt (at a nut & bolt store) & a 1/2 to 3/4" spacer. PM me if you have any questions

Put it up on top of the console (dash). Otherwise you have to look down to see it. Many of us have moved the factory installed mount from the handle bars up to the console.

We're talking about an ST. The dash is different than on the RT's. JT Machine's GPS mount only works on RT's. RAM is the way to go for the ST's. My Ltd came with the BRP mount and I added Satellite radio and Cell phone mounts to each end of the handlebars using Rivco's drink holder mount (w/o the drink holder). It would be great if we could mount to the dash.

I got mine off EBay for $.99 plus $4.00 shipping. It's been on the bike for six years no problems. It's located on the right by my throttle.
