• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. GPS Fuse

My GPS is not holding a charge and it was mentioned that I probably need a new fuse. I took the cover off and there are a lot of fuses. How do I know which one is for the GPS? Thanks!

Even if there is a fuse for the GPS on the bike itself; I believe Garmin has a secondary fuse built into their harness (and I don't think it matters if the harness is OEM or built for BRP). The picture is of a Garmin 665 motorcycle mount and the blue arrow points to the fuse holder (only 1 or 2 amp, if I recall). I believe Garmin has this sort of "in line" fuse on all their GPS mounts. Getting to this portion of the harness on the Spyder is probably not difficult, but most of the right side panels will have to come off (and, possibly, the seat) as the harness is routed down that side of the bike and connected somewhere underneath the rider (if the BRP install instructions are correct).

Hope this helps .... Ann

I've read some articles on alot of the Garmins that don't hold a charge. Mine doesn't really either. I would call Garmin and get the fix or new battery.

If the radio works then you did not blow a fuse in the Spyder. As mentioned there is an inline fuse in the Garmin harness. It may blown. This is how you check without taking anything apart. Put the gps in the mount and do not turn it on. Turn on the ignition key. Press the mode button when required. Does the gps come on by itself. If no there is no power to the mount. Maybe the fuse. If yes then the fuse is good.

To get to the fuse. The right side panels have to come off. It will be located inline near the right rear corner of the fuel tank. May also have come unplugged. The plug is in that location as well.

Are you turning the gps on before you but in the cradle?
The reason I ask is because mine will not charge if I do.
