Just want to says thanks to the other Spyder owners who posted about their fuel pump problems. Because of those posts, I knew that my '14 RT had a problem I shouldn't ignore anymore; the RT had started to get noisy when running, then there were whining noises from the frunk area off and on at start up and finally developed an intermittent loud, harmonic hum while idling or riding. Increasingly, the RT would die when shifting from N to first or reverse after a cold start or extended riding break.
I called the service manager at my dealer and reported these issues, along with the Spyderlovers info of a TSB for the 14's fuel pump. Because of the distance to the dealer (125 miles one-way) the service manager started a case with BRP before I took the RT in, and was able to establish that if the problems were as I had stated, a warranty replacement would be forthcoming. Sure made it nice when your dealer works with you
Now the RT is a lot quieter, doesn't die after a cold start and seems to be a little more peppy.
So thanks again SL, for the technical input and advice!
