Fuel Economy on my 2014 RT-SE6

Just hit 500 miles on my new spider and thought it was time to see what kind of mileage I was getting. I never got above 25 on my 2011 and had to gas up by myself at about 140-150 miles when riding with my group as most could go 200 miles without fuel.

I did a 206 mile ride today with the group and put in 6.28 gallons for a 32.80 miles per gallon. A huge increase over my 2011 that got 25 MPG from the 1st day till after 9,000 miles with no improvement. I carry gas and think I may run it out next time just to see how far it will go with the fuel light on. The light came on at 175 miles this time and I stopped 31 miles later at 206.

The ride today was averaging about 62-68 miles per hour on back roads with very few stops.

:congrats: You might have had a half-gallon of fuel left in the tank... :shocked:
That's too close for me; but it's nice to know that the 2014s are doing so much better on fuel! :2thumbs:

The trend, based on all posts so far, seems to be better than the pre-2014's. Lots of 33-35 mpg. I am also guessing that once 5000+ miles is accumulated per vehicle--35's will be the norm. opcorn:opcorn:

My 2010 RT S with an aftermarket pipe/exhaust, no catalytic converter, and non-ETOH gas, gave a consistent 38 mpg at highway speeds (60++). It was 25 to 28 in stock trim. Also that's with my 295# and all the bags/frunk loaded.

I've been averaging between 30-35 mpg depending on how I drive my new 2014 RTS - have 1300 miles on it so far

1500 on mine and avg about 32. Prev '11 was 30, so not all that much better.

6.28 Gallons, you were pretty close to empty. I usually go 20 miles after the light comes on, no probs. Knowing you got 30 after is good. Most I have gotten to a tank so far is 184.5, but I only put 5.88 gals in that fuel up so I had plenty left. Might want to use Fuelly app to track, see mine in my signature.

My wife hates me, I always wait too long. Have been close several times. If the light aint on, its not time to refuel!!!

I get 30 mpg on BR1 and reset my odometer with each fill up. I figure I have about 180 miles on a tank and start looking for a station @ 130-150 depending on where I am in relation to stations. When in southwest Texas, I fill up often 'cause ya never know if the next one is still open....or there ain't any stations....ha ha

An exact match for my one time tank fill (most miles/gallons). :yikes:
I usually fill currently at 150 miles or so--just before or about when the fuel light comes on.
