• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just found out how you open the frunk when the switch don't work. You can open the frunk by pushing the key down while turning it to the left at the same time

Curious..!!

did we help or was this accomplished on your own...I'm keeping score...:roflblack::roflblack:

From what I understand that will be the only way to open the "frunk" on the '14 model RTs as well.

There has been some confusion about the push button trunk release on RT's. I believe this was due to the fact that some of the demo RT's did not have the feature activated.

In looking at the BRP page and the offerings for the RT, it appears that the push button trunk release is indeed a feature on the RT-S and RT LTD models. It does not seem to appear on the base RT model.

Time will tell, and we will get it figured out.

Thanks for the info. I know I really like and use the frunk release button a lot on my '12 RT Ltd.

The key shows you that if you rotate it one way, you unlock the seat and the other way unlocks the frunk. I never remember to hit the button before I turn off the ignition so that is how I access the frunk

The 2010 Model year bikes had to be running for the button to work. I believe that later model years only require the key to be turned on...;)

On my '12 RT Ltd the lights remain on for a minute or so after the ignition is turned off. The frunk release button works with the key off during the time the lights remain on. I almost always put my helmet in the frunk so it is almost automatic for me to push the frunk release button immediately after turning off the ignition...creature of habit .

Frunk release button

According to my dealer, there was a memo sent from BRP saying the Trunk Release is not included in the 2014 RT's ( RT-S...RT-L) anymore. The demo units I saw did have the electric release.....??????
