• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front wheel cap removal

Captain Fin

New member
Im getting excited about my glow rider delivery shortly after January 31. Can someone tell me how to remove the front wheel cap. Glow rider says in their ad that wheel removal is not needed.

Capt., just take a very small flat screwdriver and pry the cap off. Be careful to slowly go around the cap to loosen it and pull it off. Very easy, it's just a plastic plug.

CAP REMOVAL

The above will work......but to be on the safe side (no scratches or chippping )...I would remove the wheel and push/tap it out from the inside.........just sayin, Mike ...

A knife blade works even better; as long as you don't bust it!
The thinner edge is easier to get inserted under the cap...

Post #2 and #4 is the way I have been doing it. I would also recommend not removing the wheel. I have installed five sets of glo ryders and have it down to 15 minutes or less now--without removing the wheels. I did remove the wheels the first time around. Its a great product that gives good visibility and cool looks at night.

"AK",
I've been watching that mounting video on their website for the new setup; have you installed any of them, or were yours the old 3 screw nightmare?
Any suggestions for those of us who will be doing this for the first time?

All but the last set were the 3 screw type. I did not even need the directions the last two or three times. For me, that is pretty good.

So when I get mine; I'll be contacting you for tips and techniques!
It should be only about three weeks or so to go...

THANKS

Thanks to everyone for the tips. I called GloRider and they told me they were getting a lot of calls on when we can expect delivery. GloRider told me that they will start shipping after January 31st.
